Mariam Akash Sidi passed away on January 1, 2023 at the age of 91. She was predeceased by her loving husband Aziz Sidi, her daughter Bernadette Bashi, and her son Nazieh Sidi. She leaves behind her daughters Nazhat Sitto, Janet Sidi, Nasrah Sidi, Juliet Jamil, Aklas Sheai and Batoul Butris. Also her sons Nabil Sidi, Michael Sidi and Hani Sidi. Mariam is the loving Grandmother of 30 Grandchildren and 25 Great-Grandchildren. She was a mother-figure to her many nieces and nephews and a great friend to countless others.
To know our Mother, Mariam, was to know the true meaning of Love, Faith, and Compassion. Her unyielding devotion to our Lord Jesus Christ emulated through her every moment she was on earth and unto anyone who knew her. Her heart was always open for anyone that needed a mother, a grandmother, or a friend. Mariam cherished her children and family and she was the pillar of strength and wisdom to us all; old and young alike. She was passionate about charity and dedicated herself to helping those in need, giving everything she could to the less fortunate and the sick. Mariam's deep faith led her to be a proud and active member of the Sisterhoods of the Sacred Heart, the Immaculate Heart of Mary, and St. Dominic for over 45 years. She was a beloved member of these religious organizations and through her unwavering faith, inspired and helped so many walk the path of Jesus. She helped shape the hearts and minds of all of her children and grandchildren to be able to live their lives in the same way. Mariam leaves behind a legacy of generations of children who will take with them the love and teachings of faith that she instilled in their lives.
She will be deeply missed by all those who loved her but will live in their hearts for lifetimes to come.
