On Monday, January 2, 2023, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Emily Abu-Joudeh, passed away at the age of 96.  Emily was born on May 1, 1926 in Ain Karem (Palestina).  On July 25, 1945, she married her late husband Anton Khlief Abu-Joudeh.  She raised 13 children, 4 boys and 9 girls.  She also raised two nieces.  Emily was preceded in death by her mother Maria, father Nikola, husband Anton and daughter Marina.  She is survived by her 12 children Jiries Abu-Joudeh (Yasmeen), Awni Abu-Joudeh (Fadia), Cliff (Khlief) Abu-Joudeh, Sam Anton (Teresa), Violette Hatter (Fawaz), Georgette Janineh (Naim), Miassar (Theresa) Izhaq, Janette Adwani, Aida Nasouri (Ghassan), Muntaha (Mona) Gaizi, Nafia (Nancy) Kort (Hanna), Josephine Hanania (Yousif), 44 grandchildren and 47 great grandchildren.  
Emily was happy to be the central figure in the lives of her children and that’s all that ever mattered to her.  Although she had 13 children of her own, she did not hesitate to raise her two nieces that lost both parents.  She always provided support and love for her family.
Funeral Services for Emily Abu-Joudeh will be held on Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at 10:00 am at St. Sharbel Church, 43888 Hayes Road, Clinton Township, Michigan 48938.  She will lie in state at 9:15 am at St. Sharbel Church.  The burial will follow at West Berlin Cemetery, 905 Holmes, Allenton, Michigan 48002.
