Obituary for Douglas M. Kassa
Douglas Michael Kassa, 60, of Morrice, went to be with the Lord on Friday, April 30, 2021.

Mass will be held on Tuesday, May 4 at Mother of God Chaldean Catholic Church beginning at 10:00AM with burial to follow at Holy Sepulchre, both in Southfield.

Doug was born to Malissia Stone and Salim Kassa on April 24, 1961 in Detroit. He went on to attended Churchill High School in Livonia. Doug spent most of his life in Perry, where he worked at the family business- Perry’s Pride. He loved entertaining the customers who frequently visited the store.

Doug is survived by his loving wife, Kim, two sons Doug Jr. and Dominick Kassa, step-daughter Olivia Flores and life long pet parrot, Dusty. He is also survived by his mother Malissia Stone, along with three sisters- Debra and Denise Kassa, Malisha (Mikel) Lorente, two brothers Dennis Kassa and Michael Lawera, as well as his nephews and nieces.

Doug is proceeded in death by his father, Salim Kassa and his beloved dog Faygo.

Doug loved being outdoors- finishing, camping, bonfires and golf cart rides were his favorite. He was also an active member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Williamston.

In lieu of flowers, contributions are directed towards the family.
