"I am Free"

Don’t grieve for me, for now I am free; I took His hand when I heard Him call; I turned my back and left it all, My life’s been full, I savored much; Good friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss; Perhaps my time seemed all too brief; Don’t lengthen it now with undue grief. Lift up your hearts and share with me; God wanted me now, he set me free.

On Sunday morning, I lost my best friend who was my father at heart, but heaven gained a beautiful angel. As many of you may know, I am the youngest of 5 kids, but really, I am an only child of Amo Adool & Uma Fatin. People always joke that I am their daughter, but it couldn’t be more true. Umo Adool did everything for me that any amazing father would do for his child, plus more. Everyone knows how much Umo Adool loved kids, so I am so happy I got to give him the joy of experiencing fatherhood.
I will forever miss your bright smile and all the laughter and care you gave me each and every day. Thank you for all the amazing memories you have given me, from playing soccer at the park together, playing basketball in the driveway, teaching me how to ride a bike, giving me all the starburst and gum I could ask for, and most importantly for teaching me how to love and pray to God. You were truly the example of putting God first above all things, and I am so thankful you have taught me to do the same. I'll miss going to mass together, praying the rosary together every time we were in the car, and our daily 3pm divine mercy. You were the most loving, happy, selfless person, and you always put other people before yourself. You touched every single person you met and showed your love and care for them in many outstanding ways. I will forever cherish all the memories we had together. I am forever blessed to have had you as my dad and best friend. I love you so much, and I’ll miss your love and presence every day, but I know you’ll be watching me and praying for me from above in heaven. Till we meet again.
Love, Gracie

I have known Adel for nearly 50 years from the old Country. He married my cousin Fatina George and he was a regular at my house in his immaculate Renault 12. Adel was not only a friend but a brother to me & Linda and like a son to my late father Ayoub George. He graced our lives and we were inseparable even when I was in England, he managed to come visit us. Adel was full of life. I will never, ever forget about my friend Adel, God used him to bless all our lives. When my beloved friend succumbed to his ailment from the evil Corona virus, I, and all the George family were totally devastated. About a month ago, Adel was shoveling snow, now he is gone! I am still trying to wrap my mind around that; we all are. I can’t believe I am writing his eulogy and condolences to a dear friend. What a hole he has left in our lives. Adel was a wonderful husband to my cousin Fatin, he was also warm, welcoming, funny and a very kind person with a positive outlook on life and a fundamental faith. He could always put anyone at ease with his stories. Some I had heard more than a dozen times, but never got tired of hearing. He was wonderful with my children even as babies, sitting with them in their playpens. Finally, I must thank you dear Adel, for having such an impact on our lives, and making them rich with love, friendship and fun that we needed so much. , Adel was inspirational at business; he always said that only the sky's the limit. Rest in peace my dear friend, I know you are in a better place now, without illness and pain but I will still miss you terribly, I'm sure we'll meet again. We all love you and will miss you. To my cousin Fatin and all her extended family, to the Mary family and to all those who loved Adel, please accept our sincere condolences; our thoughts and prayers are with you and your wonderful families as you mourn the loss of our Adel. I know that God will grace you with peace and comfort. May you be guided by your faith.
On behalf of all the George cousins & families.
