Obituary

Our beloved, Ablahad Patros Bahoura, age 60,
went to be with our Lord on April 30, 2021.
Ablahad, also known as Steve, is survived by his mother, Suham Bahoura; wife, Ghada Bahoura; son Jonathon Bahoura, daughter Janell Facherpour and her husband Kalvin Facherpour, and his grandson, George Facherpour. He is also survived by his brothers Norman Bahoura, Amer Bahoura, John Bahoura, and Mike Bahoura; and sisters Helen Al Simani and Amy Sesi. He is preceded in death by his son, Julian Bahoura; father Patros Bahoura; and brothers Francis and Walid Bahoura.

Ablahad was a great man with an unshakeable faith whose love for God was shown in his love for family and friends. He was a devoted husband and father - his wife, children and grandson were his source of joy. Ablahad absolutely loved serving and volunteering at church. He always made sure to pay his respects, visit the sick, and would offer a helping hand to anyone in need. Ablahad touched the lives of many and truly had a heart of gold.

He was a determined man with an unbelievable work ethic. When Ablahad set his mind on something, he persisted and never gave up until that goal was achieved. He worked long hours to provide a beautiful life for his family. Ablahad will truly be missed by many.

Church Service: Resurrection mass will be taking place on Monday, May 3, 2021 at 11:00 am. St. George Chaldean Catholic Church.

Committal Service: A committal interment service will follow the resurrection prayer at White Chapel Cemetery.

Due to the ongoing pandemic, the family apologizes for not receiving guests at home or a public hall.

We also understand taking precautions and remaining safe is a priority to all of us. Therefore, the use of masks and social distancing are required during the church and committal service.

Let the souls of the dead who believe in the mercy of God rest. Amen.

John 14: 1-6

“Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going.”

Thomas said to him, “Lord, we don’t know where you are going, so how can we know the way?” Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

I’m so sorry for your loss. Grief can be so hard especially the first year. But what a treasure memories are! They help to remove some of the sting of death. Remember to accept support from family and friends, get plenty of sleep, keep a routine and trust in God to help sustain you. One of my favorite passages is Revelation 21:4, I hope it brings you comfort too! With my deepest sympathy!
